He keeps holding her tight and taking small kisses as they move up to his room. Once they get inside, he gets the fire going and hugs her tightly,

"Think ye're due some pamperin', love."

"Yes I do. I'm not going to let you tear yourself to pieces like this. I should have waited longer, or not let Eli get to me so much."

"'rhaps, canna 'ave been easy."

He hugs her again, hiding in her hair.

"It wasn't. Scared the hell out of me to think this could be all gone. And nothing I could do to stop it."

She hugged him tightly again.

"Found yer way back though."

He hugs back and kisses her,

"Knew ye would."

"Even though I wasn't trying to by then?"

"Aye."

He just keeps hugging her, words really aren't doing enough at the moment.

She snuggled in against him.

"Was angry for a while about missing your birthday too, and then when it got later, and later, and nothing seemed to work. That's when I started to wonder, and remembering what you had said about Molly's door vanishing, and wondering if that's what happened to me."

"Ye came back though, 'ave to 'ave faith. An ye're 'ere for me birthday."

Its so hard to hear her being so hard on herself but doesn't know the right words, it hurt so much that she had given up.

"I know. Got that now. Yeah, was shocked to hear from Guppy that it had been only a few weeks here. Really stupid not to have waited longer huh?"

He sighs and turns her so she can look into his eyes,

"Tis the past, 'ave to look towards the future. Only way to make things better. I forgive ye, Kate."

"I won't let it happen again. Even if I have to wait years next time, not putting you through this again."

"Just be 'ere with me, love."

Which she did.

"See? Physically here."

"Aye, but ye're still worryin' so just relax an trust in me love."

"Na goin' to be made easier by talkin' 'bout it so. Wish to enjoy 'avin' ye 'ere an savor ye more than e'erythin' else."

She sighed, "I know, Ii.. things are still mixed up for me. Been through a lot just the past day or so you know?"

"Aye, I do an I'm na goin' anywhere just wish to be 'ere with ye."

He strokes her hair and kisses her forehead lightly.

She settled in against him, and her eyes closed for a moment. Not sleepy just worn out some still.

So he works on rubbing her back to try and get rid of that tension somehow, he hates seeing her this way.

She's still wondering if the door working again was really a good thing. If this wasn't just creating more of a complication?

Then again, her heart had been hurting for months, and it's only starting to feel better now.

She reached over to start stroking his hair back from his face.

His eyes still have a lot of hurt in them but he's thinking about her, using his hands to work at her knots as she rests on him.

Kate kept stroking his hair and face.

She softly asked, "Why aren't you more angry with me? Got every reason to be."

"Were tryin' to find some 'appiness for yerself an rather ye 'ave that. Just I love ye, Kate an know what we 'ave 'ere is strange an rare."

"Still not fair to you. Billy and Teddy told me how you were here without me. Let me make up for it."

She moved closer to start kissing his forehead, cheeks, lips, and even neck.
