He keeps holding her tight and taking small kisses as they move up to his room. Once they get inside, he gets the fire going and hugs her tightly,

"Think ye're due some pamperin', love."

He leans back beside her, stroking her hair,

"Just was tryin' to work on me writin' an Doc thought poetry would 'elp. Ye're welcome to read it through 'fraid isna very good."

"Oh you don't mind?" She studied him back as her hand reached for the notebook again.

"Nay, for ye in the end anyway."

His arms move back around her since this just feels so nice.

She opened the notebook again, and rested back against him.

"They're rough, and well, you haven't had access to a big vocabulary."

She's likely added dictionary and theusaurus to the birthday gift list if he doesn't have them.

He has them, they're just around somewhere and he doesn't think about using them,

She'll dig them out later and suggest he try them in that case.

"Only for class assignments. I even had to write a song once but I'm not a songwriter."

"Do they get assigned a lot?"

"Not really? Only happened a few times."

"Oh aye, they're all sorts o''ard."

Then there's a knock and Will returns with a tray just full of good breakfast stuff.

"You have no idea, especially since you have to figure music and movements and when to rest, and how to piece it all together."

He nods and sets all the good stuff out, waffles, french toast, sausage, tea and kisses her,

"Aye, but sure ye found a way."

"Kind of? But I'd rather be playing the songs, not writing them."

She smiled softly back, and then looked to start serving up plates for both of them.

"Missed 'earin' ye play."

"I'll bring my cello around on your birthday for sure."

He gives her a big hug,

"Would love that, will be tendin' that day so can 'ave some fun."

Also gives her time to prepare other gifts.

She hugged him back, "You want musical accompaniment again?"

"Ne'er turn down yer playin', love."

Then he digs into the food with a grin.

A smile before she started to eat as well. Much hungrier than she was last night.

He's in the midst of eating but puts a drop of whipped cream on the tip of her nose.

"Dork," She stuck her tongue out and threw a bit of peach at him.

Which he just catches in his mouth and grins at her.

"Oh now you're just showing off."

"Ye've ne'er complained o'what me mouth can do, love?"

"Oh and now you're bragging. And um no, not for some of it."

So he leans over his breakfast to give her a proper kiss with the promise of more later.
