He keeps holding her tight and taking small kisses as they move up to his room. Once they get inside, he gets the fire going and hugs her tightly,

"Think ye're due some pamperin', love."

"Nay, ne'er just wish I knew 'ow to make ye 'appy."

"I don't know. Wish I knew how to make you happy or at least stop hurting you."

He sigh and looks over at her, running his hand from her dark hair down her body,

"Be with me an love me, we've 'ealed from worse, can figure this out. Just need to be together an trust strength o'us."

"I do love you, Will. Guppy was asking me which was the one in my heart. It's you. Hasn't changed yet, and I don't think it will. I think Eli knew it, too, but was trying to help me."

"Then we'll figure this out, some'ow."

Gently he kisses her on the lips again,

"I'll get us some breakfast, 'rhaps could 'ave a bath too."

"Ok," She kissed him back, and flopped on her back on the bed. Idly looking at the ceiling.

On his bedside table, there's a stack of poetry books and a notebook as he grabs a robe and wanders to the door to order for them,

"What do ye want to eat?"

She blinked at the poetry books. This was new. She didn't remember a stack here. And the notebook. She was tempted to flip through.

Maybe just a peek?

She called out, "French toast... wait, no, Belgian waffles with peaches and cream!"

He laughs, "I'll get both."

The journal is a simple leather one and inside in his careful handwriting there are copies of poems and one page full of various lines that seem to be his own.

She blinked with surprise. He's writing poetry now?

Kate started to look at the lines. A lot of them seem directed to her.

God, she should put it down right now. He would have said something if he wanted her to read them yet. Probably be all mortified and she should stop reading right this second.

That's what she's thinking, but what she was doing was still reading.

Will and the rat are having a discussion on how much two people can actually eat before he turns back to her with a laugh,

"Think should 'ave 'nough."

When he sees her reading, he blinks and comes over,

"Meant to surprise ye, 'ard to find the words to capture 'ow I feel."

She slammed it shut, and gave him a guilty look.

"Oh yeah, it was just here."

He leans back beside her, stroking her hair,

"Just was tryin' to work on me writin' an Doc thought poetry would 'elp. Ye're welcome to read it through 'fraid isna very good."

"Oh you don't mind?" She studied him back as her hand reached for the notebook again.

"Nay, for ye in the end anyway."

His arms move back around her since this just feels so nice.

She opened the notebook again, and rested back against him.

"They're rough, and well, you haven't had access to a big vocabulary."

She's likely added dictionary and theusaurus to the birthday gift list if he doesn't have them.

He has them, they're just around somewhere and he doesn't think about using them,

"Ye e'er written any?"

She'll dig them out later and suggest he try them in that case.

"Only for class assignments. I even had to write a song once but I'm not a songwriter."

"Do they get assigned a lot?"

"Not really? Only happened a few times."

"Oh aye, they're all sorts o''ard."

Then there's a knock and Will returns with a tray just full of good breakfast stuff.

"You have no idea, especially since you have to figure music and movements and when to rest, and how to piece it all together."

He nods and sets all the good stuff out, waffles, french toast, sausage, tea and kisses her,

"Aye, but sure ye found a way."

"Kind of? But I'd rather be playing the songs, not writing them."

She smiled softly back, and then looked to start serving up plates for both of them.
