Autumn has come to Sherwood and there's a bite to the air as the leaves change colors. Will pulls up his hood as he leaves Atton out onto the road,

"Lincoln, aye?"

"Oh aye, ye are. Dinna think I'm e'er goin' to get used to that."

Things are slightly busy since everyone just got paid and there's a small fire going as the nights grow colder.

"Really? I got used t'it ages ago, but it's different for me. I mean, for you, it must feel like everything is going really fast. For me, it just feels like I'm moving normally and everything else has slowed down."

Atton spots Ham and heads over to him.

"Hamsy! Hamsykins. Hamsysnugglekins." Pause. "I have questions. You mentioned somebody else who beat you, a while ago?"

Ham winces and backs away slightly when Atton comes forward,

"Might 'ave, what's it to ye?"

Will grins and slips into the shadows.

Atton is curious about this wincing and backing off. He takes another step forward, experimentally, just to see what happens.

"Can y'give me some information about him? Where he was from, maybe - he had t'have an accent that you recognised, right? A name, if he gave one. Maybe you could speculate on what his job was."

Atton brings pain with him, Ham's learned,

"Could be that I could, but ye'd 'ave to give me somethin' in return."

Eyeroll.

"Are we talking money here, or do you have a special request?"

"Na sure what ye're talkin' 'bout just me some coin an I'll give ye 'is name."

"Name, what city he lives in, and any other useful information," Atton says firmly. "An' I'll give you some coin."

"'ampstead an 'e's called Much, 'e's a fisherman."

"You were beaten by a fisherman? Aren't you supposed to be some big city guard?"

Atton is amused.

"Ye've yer name, best be goin'."

Ham does his best to be gruff and scary, it doesn't work as well as he'd like.

With great solemnity: "I best."

Atton heads away, without giving Ham any coin.

Will laughs as Ham tries to look powerful by hitting a smaller man,

"Na quite sure I know where that is."

"Will there be somebody around here who will?"

"Oh aye, think so just know isna near Nottingham or Lincoln."

"Okay. Who should we go ask, then?"

"'nough folks round that we can find someone, 'rhaps e'en get a drink too."

"You're right. Tavernkeepers always know about geography," Atton says, peering about until he locates a tavern and heading inside.

Will follows, its a decent tavern, fair share of troublemakers but nicer quality than what you'd find in Nottingham.

Atton makes a beeline for the tavernkeeper.

"So, where's Hampstead?"

The tavern keeper glares at Atton,

"What's it to ye?"

"... A place I want to go? Y'don't need t'get defensive."

"Aye, aye, just follow the river that way."

He waves his hand helpfully.

"Okay. Oh, and ale for me and the guy with the red hair?"

"Aye."

Will drops some coin down on the counter and nods to the tavern keeper.
