Sherwood Plot-First Team

The door opens onto Sherwood where the men are gathered. Little John sees this group and gives a nod,

"Ye're with me, let's get movin'."

Jack looks affronted.

"'Course I do! I'm Captain Jack Sparrow, savvy?"

He leans close as if to confide a secret, swaying back and forth a little as he adds,

"And the trick to it's to move with the waves -- soon you'll feel right at home."

"Oh aye, good for ye. Ye e'er set an 'mbush 'fore then, Cap'n?"

Atton, for his part, is mostly being quiet, absently tossing a knife up and down. He wanders over, though, to listen to the conversation.

"I would not wish to feel right at home on the waves; I am at home already, on dry land," Teja says to the pirate captain that he has heard of so much, but is meeting for the first time in this world foreign to both of them.

He looks around, at all the men assembled. He is wearing his armour, axe over his shoulder, but his cloak, today, is black.

There aren't that many men in this group, the men of Sherwood have allies but not a huge amount. John mutters something before speaking again,

"Right well, makes me seasick an oh aye a Norseman, be glad o'yer axe."

Jack rolls his eyes and mutters something under his breath about "clumsy lubbers not knowing what's good for them," but seems resigned to his lot.

"An ambush, is it then? I love ambushes!"

"I prefer being ambushed. The unexpectedness is fun. So is the gunfire," Atton says, thoughtfully.

"Good, ye lads since tis what we'll be 'avin'. Pirate, ye can create a diversion to make the cart stop."

"I like administering surprises with my axe," Teja says, running his finger along one blade.

Pause.

"But one would assume that to those taxmen, the pirate will be truly surprising -- and I would be sure, Atton, that you are bringing fiery surprise to this, also."

Ben hasn't been saying much but following along with the group. He's feeling a little silly and smothered in the friar's robe Bar provided for him so he hasn't really felt like talking.

But eventually you have to get to know the folks your gonna be working with, so Ben pulls back the hood of the robe and says, "I imagine I might have a surprise or two fer the taxmen too." He punctuates this with a big smile which he hopes is disarming.

John's eyes go a little wide before he gives a quick grin,

"'magine ye will too. Us two solid fellows can fight together."

Ben gives John a good look over and replies, while offering his hand, "I think we can. I'm Ben Grimm."
