Aug. 17th, 2007 06:15 amThe days have been busy, helping prepare for the Harvest, hunting, trying to figure out what the Sheriff's going to do next, lots of ways for Will to put off asking Robin for advice.
He knows Molly was being helpful and meant him to ask and he will, its just that its Robin, who he's teased unmercifully about Marian and Will turns red with embarassement and confused desire when he thinks about Molly.
So he puts it off and keeps busy, not bringing it up though he knows that Robin's seen how nervous and worried he is, and finally does something since he's Robin.
One night when Tuck sends Will off to get some more firewood, Robin comes along and once they're out of camp asks,
"Will, what's bothering ye? Keep turning red and know there was a lovely girl ye were with in Sherwood but havena seen her since."
Will fidgets with the piece of wood he's holding as he tries to figure out how to explain without talking too much about Milliways,
"'er name's Molly an met 'er in a strange in between place, messed things up by kissin' too 'ard. Told me to ask ye for what to do 'bout ladies. Been bein' good and na pushin' just dinna wish to lose 'er or do things wrong."
Robin laughs and gives Will a pat on the back,
"Keep asking her, and talking, think that's all ye can do though e'en that doesna always work. Ye're a good lad, Will, trust in what ye know an listen to 'er when she yells."
The smile comes easily and Will feels a bit more sure as he thinks of how there is an ease around Molly and they'll find their way, and the twisty paths bring you to the hidden glories of Sherwood after all.
