Nottingham is full of strangers with the Fair and so one more won't cause any excitement.

The fights haven't started yet but they will soon and there's something to see every where.

No, he's down and not moving. The announcer prods him with his foot,

"Guess ye win."

Shay grins and helps him off, before heading over to Matt.

"So, how're you holding up, shorty?"

The announcer looks between the two of them, "Ye two are next."

The crowd cheers, they know a good match up when they see.

Matt postures, "Ready to take ye down, boy."

"It'll be fun seeing you try. What, are you trying to impress somebody or something?"

Shay's shaking on the inside. The last time he was watching, Matt took his opponent down in seconds, and he doesn't think that his previous improvised strategies are going to work with Matt.

Matt walks up onto the platform, trying to push Shay back with his muscles,

"Dinna need, know 'ow good I am."

Shay stumbles back a little, before stepping up on the platform.

"Sounds like you're compensating for something," he grins, looking down meaningfully at Matt's groin. Because he'd imagine that insult goes over especially effectively in medieval times.

The answer to that is Matt tries to punch him, its aiming for around Shay's kidneys.

It hits some bruising from Shay's first fight, and works especially well. Shay makes a loud, pained noise, doubling over. His eyes are watering, he's breathing heavily, and his knees are wobbling like they don't want to stay up.

Matt smiles and comes forward to punch him in the gut.

Shay's legs give way, and he collapses onto his hands and knees.

Now Matt leans down and sneers,

"Dinna think ye'll be gettin' up 'gain."

Shay takes a deep breath, before surging up briefly to headbutt Matt.

Matt ducks out of the way and the headbutt hits him in the chest,

"That all ye 'ave?"

Shay gets to his feet, shakily, and starts jabbing, fast and light, shifting in and out of Matt's reach.

A few of the punches hit and Matt starts to block but he's slow though powerful.

Shay pauses, looking at a spot over Matt's shoulders.

If it gets him to look, then Shay'll be pleased. If not, at least he didn't go as far as to actually point and shout 'look behind you!'.

"What the 'ell are ye doin'?"

Matt doesn't turn to see what Shay's looking at.

"There's a guy that looks just like you. Except, y'know, not like an idiot," Shay says, continuing to jab at Matt.

"Ye're full o'it!"

Then Matt starts punching back but this time towards Shay's face.

Shay really thought that'd work.

Still, he ducks under the punches, and throws his body weight into an elbow at Matt's gut.

Matt takes the slam and then takes Shay's shoulders and kicks upwards.

Never use the same move twice. Up there with the Conservation of Ninjitsu as far as laws of the universe went.

The kick gets him on the shoulders, sending him reeling back.

With a sneer, Matt comes forward and waits for Shay to stand up so he can punch him more.

Shay stands up again, getting into a defensive stance.

Matt just keeps coming with lots of solid punches.
