On the other side of the door, Tuck sees them and nods,

"Glad ye're 'ere, tis much to do."

Sariel squeezes back, just a little, then lets go. "I hadn't thought of that."

If she only knew...

"Aye, they can 'andle themselves."

[visible_sariel]

Sariel nods, eyes on the nearby trees. "I know." and something in her tone suggests that she means it.

[will_scarlett]

Some panicked screaming is added to the mix and then hoof beats from one of the roads,

"We must 'ide a bit more."

[visible_sariel]

In a word: Uh-oh. In a few more: that does *not* sound good. "Mia's magic again, do you think?"

Sariel sounds somewhat less than certain there, likely understandably so. She falls obediently in behind tuck; she'll follow him. He knows where deeper cover is.

They move deeper into the trees as a heavily armored man on horseback rides down the horse and Tuck curses.

that can't be good. Sariel hasn't said nything rude as yet, but the glance she flicks from the armored man to Tuck as they reach better shelter is a definite 'oh crud' look. "Should we worry about him?"

"If we dinna 'ear 'im bein' stopped, aye."

sariel's focus sharpens, following the progress of the armored man as best she can through the trees. that might not be saying much, given the cover they're under, but at least she's trying?

"Who is he?"

[will_scarlett]

"Friend o'Sir Guy's, they're out ridin' the forest."

[visible_sariel]

"Oh. Oh dear." Sariel knows enough about Will's world to recognize that name; what sort of enterprise crewmember would she be if she didn't? she'll just be making certain she's under cover while keeping a lookout.

She gets a pat as Tuck finds a good place to watch the road in case anyone else appears.

Two pairs of eyes are better than one? Let's hope so. For her part, Sariel's waiting to see if that armored rider turns around.

No, he just keeps on riding down the road for now.

[visible_sariel]

That doesn't mean Sariel isn't still keeping an eye out. There could be trouble from any side, and she knows it.

At least there haven't been any horns sounded yet? ... Yet.

As is Tuck, he knows there are more riders out there but not how many.

Sariel's glance flickers to the road, then away again. Is there anyone riding toward them...?

The road seems quiet for now and Tuck pats Sariel on the arm to reassure her.

[visible_sariel]

Sariel will fully appreciate the reassurance in a minute; she appreciates it now, no doubt, but her mind is on possible unwanted arrivals. Is there anyone heading toward them through those trees over there...?

[will_scarlett]

Its quiet for now except for odd noises created by moving trees and carts.

[visible_sariel]

You can bet Sariel's got her ears attuned to those. Carts are strange to her, but not beyond the realm of possibility. The moving trees thing... well. It's not like she knows that a ways off, trees are magically walking on their roots.

"Do you hear that?" She means the tree-type noises, more than likely.

[will_scarlett]

"Aye, na sure what it was but isna comin' towards us least na yet."

Not yet is something, anyway. Then again...

"You don't think it was Mia working magic again, do you?" She can hope, at least.

"'rhaps, ne'er learned the feel o'magic."
