Adventures with Atton Part II

Will and Atton are on the road to Lincoln, its been raining through the morning but its cleared up and Will is grinning,

"Just 'membered that they're 'avin' their Fair so should be some fightin' for ye."

"Oh, yeah, I probably should," Atton says absently. "Could be interesting. I'll see you later."

Atton rushes off, finding himself a spot where he can see the fight fairly easily.

The fight that's currently going on isn't a truly fair match, Alf who Atton spoke to before is pummeling another man while in the wings another two men wait.

Atton watches, quietly impressed, before casting a glance over to take a look at the two men in the wings, sizing them up.

One of them is of a middle build and looks faster and the other ones about as bulky as Alf.

Atton turns his attention back to Alf's fight.

Which has just ended and Alf's declared the winner and the announcer waves Atton and the medium build man up to fight.

Atton gives Alf a quick look, before heading up onto the platform, giving the medium build man a quick, lopsided smile.

"What's your name?"

"John an ye're Doran, I'm na goin' to go down."

John starts to circle Atton, letting him make the first move.

Atton watches John, before moving towards him fast, jabbing hard at his face.

John just dodges the blow and then moves to grab Atton around his torso and throw him.

Atton finds himself tumbling through the air, and rolls to take out most of the force of landing, getting to his feet quickly and heading back towards John, alternating between kicks and punches.

When he stands up, John does his best to absorb and dodge most of the blows but he's not quite fast enough and most of them hit him.

Atton backs off, giving him a few seconds of rest before coming in again, kneeing up at his groin and aiming a headbutt at his nose.

Both of them hit but John doubles over instead of falling and charges at Atton.

Atton takes several steps back before finding his footing and holding his place, trying to push John away.

John aims a hit in Atton's gut but he's wobbling.

Atton takes the blow, aiming another headbutt at John, and flicking one leg at his ankles.

That's the blow which finally takes John down and he falls with a smack as the audience cheers.

Atton grins, making his way off the platform to stand in the wings.

The announcer pats him on the shoulder as Alf prepares to fight the other large man.

Atton settles back to watch.

This is a good fight as they're both fairly evenly matched and its long and bloody.

Atton sizes up them both as they fight, trying to figure out how fast, strong, resilient and fast they are.

They're both pretty good but Alf has a slight edge.

Atton continues to watch, taking a moment to glance at the crowd, and to set a hand to his stomach. There's already a bruise forming from where John hit him.
