Adventures with Atton Part II

Will and Atton are on the road to Lincoln, its been raining through the morning but its cleared up and Will is grinning,

"Just 'membered that they're 'avin' their Fair so should be some fightin' for ye."

Atton grins, making his way off the platform to stand in the wings.

The announcer pats him on the shoulder as Alf prepares to fight the other large man.

Atton settles back to watch.

This is a good fight as they're both fairly evenly matched and its long and bloody.

Atton sizes up them both as they fight, trying to figure out how fast, strong, resilient and fast they are.

They're both pretty good but Alf has a slight edge.

Atton continues to watch, taking a moment to glance at the crowd, and to set a hand to his stomach. There's already a bruise forming from where John hit him.

Alf acquired a number of bruises and gets a bloody lip during this fight before he knocks out the other man.

Atton watches Alf with marked interest, waiting to be told to go up.

In a few moments, its his turn and Alf gives him a bloody smile,

"Didna figure I'd end up fightin' ye."

"Didn't think I'd get this far?"

[will_scarlett]

"Aye, but 'adna fought me yet."

Then Alf moves to try and get Atton into a quick hold.

Atton is surprised at how fast he is. He starts to dodge too late, and ends up in Alf's hold.

Alf grins and starts to twist Atton down towards the wood of the platform, using his size to help.

Atton struggles, but Alf's bigger and stronger, so he starts to go down anyway, slowly.

After a second or two, he flicks his head at Alf's nose.

Alf grunts and his hold loosens slightly.

Atton takes advantage of that to squirm and push his way out of the hold, jabbing fast at Alf's gut.

The jab slow Alf slightly and he curses before trying to grab Atton again.

Atton gets out of the way this time, putting some distance between them.

That just makes Alf grumble again before this time he tries to kick out at Atton and then put him in a hold.

Atton dodges the kick, but the hold gets him. He immediately starts struggling, kicking at Alf's legs.

This time Alf tries to just slam him down towards the wood but his balance isn't quite as good as it could be thanks to Atton's kicks.

It works well, though, and Atton hits the wood hard, grimacing.

"Now ye'll just be stayin' down there."

Alf smirks and relaxes his hold slightly so that he can acknowledge the crowd.

Atton scowls at that smirk, struggling harder against Alf's grip.
