The door opens onto Sherwood where the men are gathered. Little John sees this group and gives a nod,

"Ye're with me, let's get movin'."

"Aw don't you worry yer pretty little face, I'll buy ya a pedicure when we get back to the bar," Ben quips as he carefully turns the cart over to set it down right side up. He not sure if the cart is salvageable or not but just in case.

He then takes a look about the clearing for any signs of knights or footmen before turning to look at the chest. "You gonna get that or shall I?"

Teja leaves the guard he apprehended behind, and steps towards the chest, weighing the axe in his hand. "Shall I?" he asks. "One would assume we have no key."

"Aye, if there was one probably in the muck, just break it, na great loss."

John rumbles and gives a glare to the last guard who flees after his friend.

"No drawings of keys, either. Not for this chest, savvy?"

Jack seems privately amused for some reason, even as he shrugs.

"Crack it open, mate. Having a plan's much more better than having a key, but having the treasure's better still."

Teja swings his axe, and splits the chest open.

Ben looks over Teja's shoulder curious to see what, if anything, is in the chest.

Atton peers over Teja's other shoulder.

He suspects there isn't anything in the chest, but it's worth a look.

After a moment, he levitates one of the pouches up into his hand, opening it and peering inside. There may be a slight gleam in his eyes when he sees the gold.

"We've hit the jackpot." If he wasn't morally bound to give the money to the Merry Men to distribute amongst the poor, he'd be stuffing it in his pockets by now.

Stupid morals.

John grins at that,

"Good, let's be gettin' 'em out then."

Teja relaxes his axe and turns to look at where the guards have vanished to.

"Good - we need not recapture them now."

He picks up some pouches, also, and looks around at the other men -- Ben Grimm, one would assume, could carry them all.

"Well done."

The bright gleam in Jack's black eyes might be chalked up to pride at their success, but anyone knowing the pirate well could safely bet that there's something else involved, as well.

"Allow me."

Helpfully, Jack gathers up several pouches, balancing them in a bundle in his arms.

One makes its way up a sleeve; another just happens to fall from his fingers and into a pocket.

"Will ya look at that," Ben says completely dazzled by the amount of gold that sits before him. So dazzled he completely misses the wayward pouches Jack has grabbed for himself.

"I can carry all of it if ya guys want."

Atton gives Jack a sidelong look, smirks a little, but says nothing.

To Ben: "If you insist." He tosses his pouch Ben's way.

Teja bends to pick up some pouches, throwing them to Ben, also. In the process, he accidentally on purpose nudges Jack Sparrow's sleeve.

Little John moves to help so that Ben's carrying the majority but he's got a few and looks over to Teja and Jack,

"Can just 'ead back to meet with the others then."

There's a musical jingling as the pouch up Jack's sleeve is jostled by Teja's interference. Hastily, Jack shifts the rest of the pouches that he's holding in his arms, adding to the sound of coinage, and then nods to Little John.

"Lead the way, mate."

"Do we get t'be smug at them about getting the tax?" Atton asks, following Little John.

"Hold on a second guys," Ben says as he puts down all the pouches of gold that have been given to him. He then lays out the shreds of his robe and begins placing all the pouches upon it. Once he has them all placed he gathers the fabric into a loose sack and stands back up. "Okay now I can run if need be."

After a moment or two Ben says, answering Atton, "Maybe we can drop off all the empty chests at the Sherif's door? Or the pieces as the case may be."
