The door opens onto Sherwood where the men are gathered. Little John sees this group and gives a nod,

"Ye're with me, let's get movin'."

"Name myself? Name myself? You don't know who I am?" Ben says giving Little John a hurt look before turning back and giving the rider a harder one. He stabs his big stick, sappling might be a better word, half its length into the ground before cracking his neck and knuckles. "Who am I? I'm Benjamin J Grimm. I'm my Aunt Petunia's favorite nephew an' the idol of millions. I'm the voice of all the folks who're starvin' cause they're payin' yer unfair taxes. An' I'm the boot that's gonna kick yer sorry butt all the way back to yer Sheriff's castle!"

Maybe he shouldn't have watched Babylon Five last night.

Little John laughs and grabs the horses' reins,

"We're 'ere to bring ye justice."

The man on the horse just looks peeved to hide the fact he's terrified,

"I'm not scared o'ye, vile beast."

"I'm a man, not a beast. An probably more a man than you!" Ben says walking closer. He's tempted to scare the kid but decides it's not a good idea. "Where's yer buddies?" he asks instead.

His sword is drawn and he tries to hit John as pats his horse,

"Off bein' scared o'the forest."

The knight is having a hard time finding a voice at this point but he won't back down.

First rule of team work, never let your team mate get stabbed or cut with a sword.

Ben shakes his head sadly at the knight, says, "Why'd ya have to go and try an' my friend?" and then stomps in the true super hero strong guy fashion creating a small localized earth quake to knock the horse off its hooves.

John just laughs and soothes the horse as the knight flails on the ground,

"I.i'm na scared."

It's just getting kind of sad now.

"Ya know, if ya went an' got yer friends you'd be able to make a more strategic attack. No shame in pickin' yer battles an' ya wouldn't be runnin' away. Why don't cha go get some o' yer friends an' come back?" Ben reasons.

The man nods a lot and runs, only tripping in the mud a few times. John laughs,

"Sir Guy's friends 'ave ne'er been that smart. Sounds like the cart stopped, 'eard a crunch somewhere up ahead."

Ben finally lets himself laugh. He's had that talk with lots of guys before, some were even super villains, but that had to have been the funniest.

"Why don't you take Sir Shaky Knees horse there and ride ahead," Ben suggests as he pulls his stick out of the ground. "I'll catch up."

John gives another laugh,

"Glad ye're goin' us, Ben an aye. Though sadly canna 'old onto this lovely beast, 'ard to 'ide such a 'orse."

He removes all that might be valuable and gives the horse a pat before it trots off.

"It's nice ta have a clean an' clear fight ta be honest. Is it me or have things gone real quiet?" Ben asks as he turns to run back down the road. "You have any idea how many men the sheriff might have around?"

"Nay, 'ad 'bout four or five guards for each cart an then the riders. Aye, let's see what kind o'mess that pirate's caused."
