Her waggish expression shifts to something less playful.

She hadn't expected such a serious answer.

She cocks a smile. She doesn't want to scare the guy off.

"Look, I'm not hunting for a commitment. Not that I want you to march off to your death anytime soon, but I understand the position you're in."

She glances down, snorting quietly.
