The next day it rains and rain so it becomes a day for chores in Sherwood. Tuck is working on the stew and doing some mending.

John, Allan and Robin are fletching arrows as Will hones their blades.

"Yes," beat. "Just not usually with mushrooms."

"Ah."

Daiki carefully avoids it.

"The DaiShocker database has information about most worlds in it. Including this one," Daiki says airily.

"Well-disguised scouts, probably."

"They want to take over every world that exists."

Beat.

"I'm not part of them, I just use their database." After all, doing mercenary work for them doesn't mean he's a part of them.

Brightly: "I know, I am!"

:D?

"I found out a little while back that they used their portals to let Fourteen into my world. He'd take it over and run it, and answer to them."

Shrug.

"They've done it to a lot of worlds. The Demon with Ten Faces for the World of Amazon, Dark Kiva for the World of Negatives - whenever they conquer a world, they just leave somebody in charge to do as they like with it."

"I doubt it's very high on their list. No offense meant. They tend to go for worlds of a certain type - lots of monsters, at least a few Riders."

Daiki nods.

He's not sure if he technically counts now that the DienDriver is gone. But he's heard some of the more sentimental Riders moralising about how it's just something you are, regardless of whether you're currently able to transform.

"Have you ever heard of the Hand of Herne?"

"Database," Daiki says, innocently.
