The next day it rains and rain so it becomes a day for chores in Sherwood. Tuck is working on the stew and doing some mending.

John, Allan and Robin are fletching arrows as Will hones their blades.

"Sure, then. Hopefully it'll stop raining soon."

"Aye, so what's yer world like?"

"It's peaceful. Mostly. Forcibly peaceful." Daiki shrugs. "I was a police officer there. A low-ranking one. The world is ruled by a man named Fourteen: There hasn't been a war since he got into power. He uses tiny darkroach type insects in people's bloodstream to make them mellow and happy."

Shrug.

"I left when I found out."

"That sounds 'orrible. 'ow'd ye leave?"

"Through a portal I created."

"That's quite a thing to be able to do. Was that 'ow ye ended up 'ere?"

"No, I've been wandering through different worlds for a while."

"Ye tryin' to get somewhere?"

"No, just wandering."

"Sounds like a dangerous an 'xcitin' life. Shame that Nottingham gave ye such a 'arsh welcome."

"I'm sure it could've been worse."

"Aye, usually can be 'ere."

Daiki sighs slowly.

"When do you think the rain is going to stop?"

Tuck is closest to the entrance of the cave and says,

"Looks to be lightenin' up. Ye know aught 'bout findin' mushrooms, Daiki?"

"Not a huge amount, I'm afraid," Daiki answers honestly.

"Ye wish to learn. After a rain like this, should find some good eatin'. Dinna wish ye to think all we do is chores,"

Tuck grins at Daiki, the young man seems rather bored.

"Sure." Daiki is, in all honesty, grateful to have something to do.

Tuck stands up and tosses him a cloak as the other men wave to them, mushrooms means a good dinner tonight,

"This way an ye can see more of Sherwood."

Daiki strongly suspects that most of Sherwood looks the same.

He doesn't say that. Instead, he puts on the cloak and follows.

Sherwood does look rather the same depending on how you look at it. Tuck nods and starts out into the now drizzling rain,

"Ye e'er do any cookin'?"

"Yes," beat. "Just not usually with mushrooms."

"What do ye cook? This way an dinna step on that plant."

Tuck points to one that looks rather like all the others.
