On the other side of the door, Tuck sees them and nods,

"Glad ye're 'ere, tis much to do."

Mia halfway leans on her staff.

"Well, this was pretty fun. Not really what I was expecting, but fun."

[scurlock]

"You think we should go try and meet with the others?"

This is said as Doc's hauling himself up into said tree, feet slipping a bit against the mud and bark before he manages to climb it a bit.

[will_scarlett]

"Can 'ead back to where we all met up an wait for 'em. Findin' e'erything well 'nough, Doc?"

[gorgonfondness]

Mia collapses her staff and puts it away.

"Ready to go when you are. I hope everyone else fared as well as we did, better in the case of the chest."

[scurlock]

"Yeah, I am."

Doc's not long up there, before he drops back down -- mud breaks falls beautifully, by the way -- and they get the man free of his armor and tie him up, tossing him in the back of the cart with the rocks.

"Y'wish to do the honors, Will?"

He means smacking one of those horses on the rump to get them to go.

Doc's already walking back towards the other horse tied amongst the trees.

"Oh aye, go on back to Nottingham with our good wishes."

Then he slaps the horse's rump and laughs.

Mia joins in the laughter, though not as boisterous as the boys.

"Hey Will," she says as they walk back. "Do you think I'm muddy enough to give Draco a properly messy hug when I get back or should I go jump in some?"

Doc watches the horses and cart take off down the road, ignoring the curses and swears of the man tied up in the back, and he tosses the armor and weapons across the neck of the horse.

The other men are all sleeping soundly, save for the driver who is no longer among the living.

"Easy," he urges, before he unties the long lead from the tree, glancing over at Mia and Will. "You want me t'take these pieces back to the caves?"

"Oh nay, we can all 'ead that way."

[gorgonfondness]

"That's fine with me."

Especially if there's more mud for her to get Draco with.

[scurlock]

It is a very muddy road.

"I'd walk," he explains. "But with as skittish as he seems to be, less risk of him rearin' up if I'm ridin'," it's almost an apology as he hauls himself up into the saddle, armor draped in front of him, reins held firm in his hands.

He will go slow though, alongside.

[will_scarlett]

"'e was bred for a prickly ass is why."

Will pats the horse's side and walks along side.

[gorgonfondness]

"Will, no calling Draco names," she says playfully.

Why Will has never used that one for Draco she doesn't know.

[scurlock]

Doc's laugh barks off the trees at that shot from Mia.

"Ain't the horse's fault, he's a fighter. Time'll make him a lover."

Or just a hell of a spirited horse, Doc's okay with that too.

[will_scarlett]

"Oh aye, ye can take 'im ridin' with Kate."

[gorgonfondness]

Mia practically skips along in the mud. She's enjoying herself, even if she's pretty tired magically speaking.

[scurlock]

"I can," and he grins a little because his Kate is back and she's not mad at him. "We're fixin' things, Will," he adds, proudly.

The horse does keep him from getting more mud on him, but he's already caked in it up to his knees so it's sort of a lost cause.

Mud is just part of Sherwood and he's in a good mood too,

"Glad to 'ear it."

[scurlock]

Doc nods at that, and then keeps his eyes sharp as they continue on back towards the caves and the woods, but it's hard to hide the grin on his face that a successful adventure brings.
